Biden will not send US troops to Ukraine — White House

No fly zone over Ukraine can lead to conflict with Russia, Jen Psaki said

WASHINGTON, March 1. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden will not send US troops to Ukraine to fight with Russia, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said at the briefing.

"Well, the President has been very clear that he is not intending to send us troops to fight a war with Russia," the press secretary said.

Establishment of a no fly zone over Ukraine by the US Administration would lead to a direct conflict with Russia, Psaki said.

"A no fly zone would require implementation and require deploying US military to enforce which would be a direct conflict, potentially direct conflict and potentially war with Russia, which is something we are not planning to be a part of," she said.
