NOVO-OGARYOVO, September 23. /TASS/. Active voting in the parliamentary elections, despite the enemy’s attempts to derail it, demonstrates that Russians support the government’s efforts to strengthen the country, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with government members.
"Such a large, even record-high, number of people who came to polling stations to cast their ballots shows that the people of Russia support our efforts aimed at strengthening the country," the president said.
"A great deal depends on the government, including monetary policy and social policy," the Russian leader continued. "There are many tasks ahead, and the way Russians voted in the State Duma elections shows the public’s hopes that all the goals, which we set in the most important areas of developing and strengthening Russia, will be achieved."
"Certainly, we understand the times we live in," Putin added.
Addressing troops taking part in the special military operation, he said that all Russians have faith in their victory and devotion to the fatherland.
