Houthis claim strikes on Riyadh airport, Saudi Aramco facilities

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saria also claimed that the rebels had struck a Saudi National Guard camp in Najran in the country’s south

DOHA, November 7. /TASS/. Houthi rebels from Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement have carried out strikes on King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital of Riyadh and facilities belonging to the state oil giant Saudi Aramco, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saria said.

"Yemen’s Armed Forces (the term used by the Houthis for their forces - TASS) carried out six <...> military operations using a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles," he said in a statement on Telegram.

According to Saria, after targeting the airport, the Houthis launched strikes on Saudi Aramco’s oil tanks and equipment in Riyadh. They then attacked the company’s facilities near the Khurais oil field and a pumping station in the city of Ad-Dawadimi in central Saudi Arabia.

Saria also claimed that the rebels had struck a Saudi National Guard camp in Najran in the country’s south. Saudi troops stationed in Yemen’s Al-Jawf and Marib governorates also came under attack. The spokesman said the attacks had resulted in numerous casualties among Saudi troops.

An armed conflict between the Houthis and Saudi-backed government forces has been going on in Yemen since August 2014. In July 2026, the rebels declared a naval blockade of Saudi Arabia and attacked several of the country’s oil tankers. The Ansar Allah movement also launched an offensive in early August, taking control of the port city of Mocha and areas along the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. On October 4, Yemen’s government forces announced the launch of a large-scale military operation to retake territories controlled by the rebels.
