PARIS, October 14. /TASS/. Europe needs to establish dialogue with Russia to avoid being left out of the Ukraine settlement process, Marion Marechal, leader of France’s right-wing Identity and Freedoms Party and niece of National Rally parliamentary faction leader Marine Le Pen, said.
"How can the conflict be resolved? How can the war be ended without engaging in diplomatic dialogue with the direct participants at some point? I think that sooner or later, such a move will become inevitable. If Europeans don’t take the step, the Americans, Middle Eastern countries or Turkey will. However, in that case, we will be completely left out of the negotiation process," she told the French broadcaster LCI.
Marechal believes that France cannot benefit from cutting ties with Russia. "There are diplomatic challenges that will have to be addressed at some point," she noted.
