MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. Iranian Ambassador to Russia said that he will surely attend the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of victory in WWII in Moscow, whereas the participation of an Iranian delegation is still being discussed.
"As for Iranian representatives at the [Victory] parade, obviously, as the ambassador and the Iranian government’s representative, I will take part," he said, answering a TASS question. "But as for Iran’s representation at a higher level, this issue is being looked at."
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said earlier that foreign leaders, not only from the CIS countries, would be invited to Moscow to attend the festivities for the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 (the Eastern Front during WWII where the former Soviet Union fought against Nazi Germany - TASS).
