Poland early last year sent to Ukraine MiG-29 fighters disguised as spare parts — media

The issue of supplying Poland’s Soviet-made MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine was discussed in April

WARSAW, January 26. /TASS/. Poland sent several MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine last spring under the guise of spare parts, the Polish daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna said on Thursday.

As the daily notes, Warsaw handed over to Kiev "a certain number" of MiG-29s in parts.

"The fuselage or the wings are also spare parts," the daily quotes a source in the Polish government as saying.

The issue of supplying Poland’s Soviet-made MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine was discussed in April. However, if the Polish authorities are to be believed, such deliveries never took place and the subject was closed.
