Melitopol mayor announces beginning of preparations for referendum on accession to Russia

MOSCOW, June 7. /TASS/. Head of the military-civilian administration of Melitopol Galina Danilchenko announced the beginning of preparation for a referendum on accession to Russia.

"We know that our future is single with Russia, the Russian Federation is here forever. We begin to prepare for a referendum," she said according to the city administration Telegram channel.

Danilchenko noted that Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, visited Melitopol.

"Sergey Vladilenovich expressed his gratitude to the employees of education, utility, medicine areas, to the leadership of the region for making it possible for the region to live a peaceful life, for every citizen’s contribution to building the peaceful life. In turn, we are grateful to the Russian Federation for the aid and support that we are being provided with," she noted.
