Russia, China have new possibilities amid global changes — Chinese senior MP

It was noted that Chinese-Russian relations have been successfully developing in recent years

MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. China and Russia have new possibilities amid the colossal changes in the world, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China (NPCSC) Li Zhanshu said on Friday during a video link with speaker of Russia’s Federation Council (upper parliament house) Valentina Matviyenko.

"Amid the current colossal changes in the world, new possibilities open up before us in the development and revival of our two states," he said.

Li Zhanshu noted that Chinese-Russian relations have been successfully developing in recent years under the strategic leadership of Chinese and Russian Presidents, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin. "Of special note is the extension of the Treaty of Good-Neighborly relations, Friendship and Cooperation," he said, adding that the side have agreed to take practical steps to develop cooperation in the interests of the two peoples.

"Strengthening of all-round strategic cooperation between China and Russia is in the interests of the two countries. Moreover, it will make the world more stable and predictable," he stressed.
