DPR troops liberate Volnovakha

The units of the DPR’s People's Militia continued to tighten the encirclement around Mariupol

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. The DPR (Donetsk People’s Republic) armed forces liberated the town of Volnovakha, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said on Friday.

"A group of troops of the Donetsk People's Republic has liberated the city of Volnovakha. The settlements of Olginka, Veliko-Anadol and Zelenyi Gai have also been taken under control, upon advacing 6 kilometers," he said.

According to him, the units of the DPR’s People's Militia continued to tighten the encirclement around Mariupol, advancing 800 meters in total from the eastern, northern and western directions.

Units of the Russian Armed Forces have continued their offensive and reached the line Petrovskoe - Yevgenovka - Oktyabrskoye, advancing 17 kilometers.
