MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. A growing number of Ukrainians feel negative about their government, according to data from a poll published on the website of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
Respondents were asked what feelings they had toward the authorities and were given a list of 12 feelings or emotions, from which they could choose up to three options (or name their own). The same poll was conducted in December 2025, allowing KIIS to show how opinions had changed over a 10-month period.
According to the poll results, the largest share of respondents reported disappointment with the authorities (44%, up from 36% in December 2025), followed by feelings of shame (33%, up from 20%). After that were anger (20%, up from 14%), hatred (14%, up from 11%) and indifference (12%, up from 7%).
At the same time, positive feelings or emotions among respondents remained stagnant. Hope was reported by 23% (unchanged), sympathy by 16% (unchanged), liking by 4% (unchanged) and pride by 7% (unchanged).
The nationwide poll was conducted on September 12-21, 2026, using telephone interviews based on a random sample of mobile numbers. It surveyed 1,002 adult citizens residing in territory controlled by Kiev.
