Kerch-2 ferry to start running in two hours — Crimea’s authorities

Cargo transport is recommended to use it instead of the Crimean bridge

MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. The Kerch-2 ferry will start operating in two hours, so cargo transport is recommended to use it instead of the Crimean bridge, as the traffic on it was restarted to passenger transport, Crimea’s Head Sergey Aksyonov wrote on his Telegram channel on Saturday.

"We ask truck drivers to plan their itineraries using the Kerch ferry crossing. In two hours, the Kerch-2 ferry will start sailing across the [Kerch] Strait," he said.

Earlier, the Krasnodar Region’s crisis center reported that the Kerch ferry crossing would start operating for passenger traffic on Sunday afternoon.

Two parking lots were also opened for cars and trucks near the Kavkaz port in the Temryuk district.
