UN, September 23. /TASS/. US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have recently confirmed the United States’ interest in a Ukrainian settlement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine.

"During their recent visit to Moscow, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner confirmed that Washington remains interested in facilitating a Ukrainian settlement," the Russian minister noted.

Witkoff and Kushner visited Moscow on September 5 and were received by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The following day, they met with Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev. According to Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov, Putin and US President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation on September 8.
