MOSCOW, June 6. /TASS/. All actions by the Russian army in the special military operation are a response to the terrorist activities of the Kiev regime, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told the media.

"Everything that is happening within the framework of the special military operation, everything that is being done by our military, is a response to the actions of the Kiev regime, which has now acquired all the characteristics of a terrorist regime," Peskov said, answering a question about whether the Russian military's nighttime massive attack on military targets in Ukraine was the response that President Vladimir Putin had mentioned in a telephone conversation with US leader Donald Trump.

The Defense Ministry said that last night, in response to terrorist attacks by Kiev, Russian troops carried out a massive strike with high-accuracy long-range air, sea, and ground-based weapons, as well as UAVs, on Ukraine’s design bureaus, weapons and military equipment manufacturing and repair enterprises in Ukraine, assembly shops for strike drones, flight training centers, and warehouses for weapons and military equipment. The strike achieved its objective.

Trump previously stated that Putin informed him in a telephone conversation of his intention to respond to Ukraine's attack on Russian airfields.
