"We are voting for a UN General Assembly resolution that contains absolutely balanced wording on the Ukrainian crisis," Peskov noted

MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. The new foreign policy configurations of the US administration largely coincide with Russia's, the countries are voting together on a UN General Assembly resolution on Ukraine, which was unimaginable before, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with television host Pavel Zarubin for Rossiya-1 TV channel.

"The new [US] administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations. This largely coincides with our vision," he said.

"Moreover, we are voting for a UN General Assembly resolution that contains absolutely balanced wording on the Ukrainian crisis. This was unimaginable before," Peskov added.

Earlier, the UN General Assembly voted on a draft resolution on the conflict in Ukraine. Eighteen countries, including Russia and the United States, voted against the anti-Russian draft resolution prepared by European countries and Ukraine. At the subsequent vote in the UN Security Council, a neutral resolution prepared by the US was adopted with the support of the United States and Russia.
