Ukrainian intel officers in Syria to be eliminated as terrorists’ accomplices — diplomat

According to Alexander Lavrentyev, there are "in fact Russian troops stationed" in Syria

MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Members of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry in Syria will be identified and eliminated as terrorist collaborators, Russian presidential special envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev told TASS in an interview, commenting on Ukrainian intelligence officers arming terrorists in Idlib.

"I think, or rather I firmly believe, that all these people deployed in Syria will be tracked down and neutralized as supporters of terrorism," he emphasized. "We need to call them by their proper name: those who assist and arm radicals from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (banned in Russia - TASS), which is a terrorist organization recognized as such by the UN. I believe that this, of course, requires an appropriate and strong response."

According to the diplomat, there are "in fact Russian troops stationed" in Syria. "I think they will take the necessary measures. It will not go without a response, and it will be a tough one," the Russian special envoy added.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Ukraine's negotiations with international terrorist organizations in order to recruit militants in Syria’s Idlib province highlight the terrorist nature of the Kiev regime.
