MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. A delegation from the ruling movement in Afghanistan, the Taliban (banned in Russia), has been invited to participate in the "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" discussion forum scheduled for May, Russia's special presidential representative for Afghanistan, Director of the Foreign Ministry’s Second Asia Department Zamir Kabulov has told TASS.

"Yes, they are planning to participate, they have been invited," he said.

Kabulov also mentioned that Russia's cooperation with the Taliban government on counter-terrorism continues "on a regular basis." "There is nothing special to add here," he noted.

The international economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" will take place from May 14-19 in Kazan.
