US directly complicit in civilian deaths in Novoaidar - Russia’s UN mission

Russia’s First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said that it was "another Ukrainian heinous war crime"

UNITED NATIONS, January 28. /TASS/. The United States is overtly complicit in the Ukrainian rocket strike on a hospital in Novoaidar in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), which killed 14 people and injured 24 more, Russia’s First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

The diplomat said that it was "another Ukrainian heinous war crime." He emphasized that "14 civilians [were] killed in a hospital by US-supplied missiles."

According to Polyansky, "as we know from Ukrainian officials, the targets of HIMARS are agreed by Washington."

"So it makes the US directly complicit. US taxpayers should be aware of how their money is used," Polyansky said.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Ukrainian armed forces had launched an intentional attack, using rocket-propelled projectiles of a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, on a hospital in Novoaidar on Saturday morning. Fourteen patients and medical employees were killed, while 24 more suffered different wounds. The Russian Defense Ministry pointed out that civilian and military health professionals had been providing medical treatment to local civilians and service members at the Novoaidar hospital for many months.
