Three aircraft flying from Turkey to Moscow head back — source

The aircraft are expected to land at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen International Airport

MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Three passenger aircraft flying from Turkey to Moscow have turned around over Lithuania and begun heading back due to restrictions in place at Vnukovo Airport, an air traffic control services source told TASS.

"Flights originating from Izmir, Antalya, and Istanbul to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport turned around in Lithuanian airspace and headed back," the source said. The aircraft are expected to land at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.

Earlier, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency Rosaviatsia said that temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft necessary to ensure flight safety were introduced at Vnukovo.
