MOSCOW, December 2. /TASS/. Russia's wheat exports are expected to be about 3.6 mln metric tons in December 2024, down from 4.1 mln metric tons last December, Rusagrotrans analytical center told TASS.
"Export shipments should be about 3.6 mln metric tons in December, compared to 4.1 mln metric tons a year ago," the center said.
In the meantime, the preliminary figures for November 2024 say that Russia shipped 4.4 mln metric tons, including to member-countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. "It was revised downward from five mln metric tons due to an expected slowdown in exports via Black Sea ports amid adverse weather conditions. Meanwhile, exports stood at 3.49 mln metric tons in November 2023," the analytical firm said.
Russian grain exports in the current agricultural season (from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025) are expected to fall within the range of 55-60 mln metric tons, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said in an interview with the Expert news outlet in November 2024.
