Russian aviation regulator to check 599 Boeing and Airbus planes by end of December

The number of inspectors of the Russian regulators, their experience and qualifications make possible to complete the assessment of the technical condition of foreign airplanes and prepare relevant documents

MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. The Russian Federal Agency of Air Transport plans to inspect 599 Boeing and Airbus airplanes by the end of December 2022, the regulator’s press service reports on Wednesday.

"The Russian Federal Agency of Air Transport is implementing scheduled activities on issuance of airworthiness certificates to Russian airlines’ airplanes of foreign make, supervised before introduction of Western sanctions by air authorities of Bermuda (BCAA) and Ireland (IAA). Activities of inspecting 599 aircraft of foreign make are scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2022," the press service informs.

The Russian aviation regulator does not see risks of failure to complete the activities in time, the press service added.
