WASHINGTON, November 5. /TASS/. The Washington administration is working to create a security architecture in Europe that would ensure that, once the conflict in Ukraine is resolved, a new crisis would not break out, Jared Kushner, son-in-law of the US president, said.
At President Donald Trump’s "direction, we are working hard with all parties to find a pathway to a durable peace. Our focus is not only on ending this terrible war, but on the broader security architecture needed to ensure that when the fighting stops, it never starts again," he wrote on X.
Reuters reported on Monday that Kushner and US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff are expected to represent the United States at trilateral talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11. Witkoff also announced plans to hold consultations with NATO allies in Brussels to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine and the post-war security architecture in Europe.
During a meeting with Witkoff earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow is ready to resume trilateral talks on resolving the Ukrainian crisis. Putin’s aide Yury Ushakov said later that these talks may be held in Abu Dhabi around November 10.
