Media show excerpt from Zelensky’s press conference after reports about blast in Odessa

MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Ukrainian media outlets have published a video excerpt from President Vladimir Zelensky’s press conference with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Odessa after reports about a powerful explosion in the city during their visit.

In particular, the video was circulated by the Ukrainian online newspaper Strana, and Zelensky says in it that he knows about the explosion but does not elaborate.

On Wednesday morning, the Greek website newsit.gr reported that Mitsotakis had arrived in Ukraine and would hold a meeting with Zelensky in Odessa. However, the visit was not previously announced either by Greece or Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian media reported about a powerful blast in Odessa, when an air raid warning was issued in that region. Later, the Greek newspaper Proto Thema said citing a member of the Greek delegation that none in the delegation was hurt. According to the newspaper, the explosion occurred in Odessa shortly before the Greek prime minister’s meeting with the Ukrainian president.
