Nearly eight mln Ukrainian refugees arrive in European countries since late February — UN

The number of Ukrainian refugees does not exceed 100,000 in any other countries

GENEVA, November 16. /TASS/. A total of 7,841,359 refugees from Ukraine arrived in European countries between February 24, when Russia’s special military operation began, and November 15, according to the data that the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) published on Wednesday.

Russia received most of the refugees (2,852,395). Next come Poland (1,497,849), Germany (1,019,789), the Czech Republic (460,415), Italy (173,231), Spain (153,054), Bulgaria (145,560), Turkey (145,000), the United Kingdom (143,100), France (118,994) and Slovakia (100,783).

The number of Ukrainian refugees does not exceed 100,000 in any other countries.

As many as 4,725,612 Ukrainian refugees have been included in national temporary protection and support programs.

According to the UNHCR, 15,354,147 people have left Ukraine for its neighboring countries since February 24 and 7,747,450 have crossed the border back to Ukraine.
