US won’t hold talks on Ukraine without Kiev, Biden says

Joe Biden also said the US expects hostilities in Ukraine could slow with the onset of winter

BALI, /Indonesia/, November 14. /TASS/. The US won’t hold talks about Ukraine without Kiev, US President Joe Biden said at a news conference on Monday following his meeting with Xi Jinping.

He was asked if Washington believes it’s a good time to start talks with Russia now that Russian troops have been pulled out from Kherson.

"We are not going to engage in any negotiation. There’s nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine. This is a decision Ukraine has to make," the US president said.

Biden also said the US expects hostilities in Ukraine could slow with the onset of winter.

"I thing you are going to see things slow down a bit because of the winter months," he said.
