Syrian air defense systems repel Israeli missile attack in Homs governorate

According to the Dubai-based Al Hadath television channel, Israeli warplanes delivered strikes at the military airfield Shayrat from Lebanon’s airspace

BEIRUT, November 13. /TASS/. Syrian air defense systems repelled Israeli’s missile arrack southeast of the city of Homs some 165 kilometers of Damascus, the SANA news agency said on Sunday, citing a Syrian military source.

"Our air defense systems opened fire at aerial targets and downed several enemy missiles," the source said,

According to the Dubai-based Al Hadath television channel, Israeli warplanes delivered strikes at the military airfield Shayrat from Lebanon’s airspace. Witnesses said they had heard several powerful blasts. No data on possible casualties is available so far.

According to Al Hadath, a military cam and depots holding weapons of Shia units fighting for the Syrian government army are located near the airfield. These facilities were hit by Israel in August.
