MOSCOW, September 21. /TASS/. TASS news agency has signed memorandums of cooperation with several media outlets belonging to the Organization of Asian and Pacific News Agencies (OANA).

The ceremony was held as part of a media forum dedicated to the 65th anniversary of OANA. The event is organized by TASS as the chairman of OANA.

The documents were signed between TASS and agencies SPA (Saudi Arabia), Yonhap (Republic of Korea), and Bernama (Malaysia). The ceremony was attended by TASS CEO, OANA President Andrey Kondrashov.

The OANA Awards ceremony was also held as part of the event. In the Best Photo nomination, the winners were Turkey’s Anadolu agency (first and third places), SPA agency (Saudi Arabia, second place).

Representatives of Anadolu (first place), SPA (second place) and two photographers from China’s Xinhua News Agency (third place) were awarded in the Best Photo Reportage nomination.

In the Best Story nomination, Iran’s Mehr news agency won the first place, Vietnam’s VIA agency, Mehr and the Turkey’s Anadolu shared the second place, while Kyodo (Japan) took the third place.

The OANA Media Forum in Moscow is taking place in the year marking the 65th anniversary of the organization, which brings together 41 news agencies from 33 countries. The forum is organized by TASS, which will chair OANA until 2028. TASS General Director Andrey Kondrashov heads the organization, while TASS Deputy Director General Marat Abulkhatin is OANA’s secretary general.
