MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Russian military specialists, in a joint operation with the Central African Republic Armed Forces (FACA), eliminated militant field commander Marcel Ndale, who was supposed to block the road to Cameroon in the event of hostilities breaking out, the Commonwealth of Officers for International Security (COIS) told TASS.
"Russian military specialists, together with FACA, conducted an operation in Nana-Mambere Prefecture on November 5, during which Marcel Ndale, commander of the ‘western sector’ of illegal armed groups, his two brothers, who were also field commanders, and seven militants were eliminated," the COIS said.
The source added that Ndale, who called himself a general, had long terrorized herders and artisanal miners in the prefecture. His forces were responsible for blocking the strategic highway connecting Cameroon and the Central African Republic in the event of hostilities. In addition, Ndale had planned sabotage attacks against civilian drivers in Cameroon.
