MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. Russian forces thwarted an attempt by a Ukrainian subversive group to land on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

"Reconnaissance squads using a drone spotted a subversive/reconnaissance group making another unsuccessful attempt to reach in a boat the left shore of the Dnieper defended by units of Russian paratroopers and motor rifle troops. The coordinates of the place of the possible landing were transmitted to a battalion command post," the ministry said on its Telegram channel.

The Russian personnel immediately assumed prepared positions and eliminated the approaching subversive/reconnaissance group by small arms fire, it said.
