MOSCOW, January 16. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops targeted electrical substations and other infrastructure facilities while shelling Donetsk on Monday, the city’s mayor, Alexey Kulemzin, said.
"Strikes targeted infrastructure facilities, electrical substations. It resulted in partial electricity outages. At the same time, repair works are underway," he said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel, adding that there are risks of attacks on repair brigades.
"We are fully aware that Ukraine is targeting repair brigades," he noted.
Ukrainian troops are using heavy artillery and multiple rocket launchers to shell Donetsk. According to preliminary data, at least two persons were killed and four more were wounded as a result of shelling of a shopping mall in the city.
