MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 ground attack aircraft, destroyed eight unmanned aerial vehicles and intercepted eight HIMARS rockets in the past day during the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Wednesday.
"Air defense capabilities shot down a Su-25 plane of the Ukrainian Air Force near the community of Artyomovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They also destroyed eight unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the settlements of Stepnoye, Yegorovka, Vladimirovka and Krasnaya Polyana in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Golikovo and Zhitlovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Priyutnoye and Sladkaya Balka in the Zaporozhye Region," the spokesman said.
Russian air defense systems also intercepted eight rockets of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems in the areas of the communities of Mostki in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Melitopol in the Zaporozhye Region, Amvrosiyevka and Debaltsevo in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and also an Olkha rocket near the settlement of Pokrovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the general specified.
Russian forces inflicted damage by firepower on the Ukrainian army units attempting to advance in the Lugansk People’s Republic in the Kupyansk area, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy’s mechanized and tank company tactical groups attempted to attack the Russian troop positions in the area of the settlement of Novosyolovskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic. As a result of damage inflicted by firepower, the Ukrainian army units were pushed back to initial positions," the spokesman said.
Russian forces eliminated enemy manpower and military equipment during the combat, the general said.
"As many as 50 Ukrainian troops, ten tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored personnel carriers, a self-propelled artillery gun and a motor vehicle were destroyed," Konashenkov reported.
Russian forces delivered artillery fire and air strikes against Ukrainian army units during the enemy’s attempt to advance in the Lugansk People’s Republic in the Krasny Liman area, eliminating over 40 militants, he said.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, three Ukrainian company tactical groups reinforced by tanks made unsuccessful attempts to attack the Russian troop positions in the areas of the settlements of Ploshchanka, Chervonopopovka and Zhitlovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. Artillery fire, strikes by army aviation aircraft and decisive actions by Russian troops inflicted damage on the enemy. The Ukrainian army units were pushed back to initial positions," the spokesman said.
As a result of concerted fire, the enemy lost over 40 personnel, one tank, four infantry fighting vehicles and one motor vehicle with ammunition in that area, the general specified.
Russian forces fully liberated the communities of Belogorovka and Pershe Travnya in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Donetsk direction, the settlements of Belogorovka and Pershe Travnya in the Donetsk People’s Republic were fully liberated as a result of offensive operations by Russian troops," the spokesman said.
In that area, Russian forces eliminated enemy manpower and military equipment, the general said.
"As many as 50 Ukrainian troops, four combat armored vehicles, three self-propelled artillery guns and six motor vehicles were destroyed," Konashenkov reported.
Russian forces obliterated the command post and the signal center of a Ukrainian army brigade in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the past day, the spokesman said.
"In the area of the settlement of Toretsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the command post and the signal center of the Ukrainian army’s 1st brigade were destroyed," he said.
In addition, Russian forces wiped out an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian army’s 60th infantry brigade near the community of Primorskoye in the Zaporozhye Region, the general added.
Russian forces repelled all the Ukrainian army’s counter-attacks in the southern Donetsk area, pushing the enemy back in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the southern Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian army’s three company tactical groups made attempts in the past 24 hours to counter-attack the positions of Russian troops in the areas of the settlements of Novomikhailovka and Novosyolka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The counter-attacks were thwarted as a result of damage inflicted by firepower and active operations by Russian troops. The enemy was pushed back to initial positions," the spokesman said.
Russian forces destroyed over 50 Ukrainian troops, two infantry fighting vehicles, two armored personnel carriers, an MT-LB transporter, an armored vehicle and four motor vehicles in that area, the general specified.
Russian forces obliterated a large missile and artillery armament depot of Ukraine’s Khortitsa battlegroup in the area of the city of Dnieper that also stored ammunition for foreign multiple launch rocket systems, Konashenkov reported.
"In the area of the city of Dnepropetrovsk [the former name of Dnieper], a large missile and artillery armament depot belonging to the Ukrainian army’s Khortitsa battlegroup and storing rockets of HIMARS and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems and loitering munitions was wiped out," the spokesman said.
Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian platoon of US-made M777 howitzers in the Kharkov Region in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In counter-battery fire in the area of the settlement of Zhovtnevoye in the Kharkov Region, a platoon of M777 artillery systems of US manufacture was obliterated at a firing position," the spokesman said.
In addition, Russian forces crippled two US-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radars of the Ukrainian army in the areas of the settlements of Minkovka and Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the general specified.
Russian combat aircraft, missile and artillery troops wiped out over 250 Ukrainian army targets in the past day during the special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
"Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops destroyed 97 Ukrainian artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 157 areas," the spokesman said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 334 Ukrainian warplanes, 177 helicopters, 2,589 unmanned aerial vehicles, 391 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,903 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 904 multiple rocket launchers, 3,634 field artillery guns and mortars, and also 7,424 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of their special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
