NOVO-OGARYOVO, November 25. /TASS/. It’s inherent in Russian servicemen, including Caucasus fighters, to perform their military duties honorably, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday as he met with the mothers of the servicemen that participate in the special military operation.
Having listened to a story told by a participant from Dagestan, he expressed confidence that her son was performing his duty commendably, "in a way that’s inherent in all Russian servicemen, even more so in the fighters from the Caucasus and Dagestan."
"They are a people of singular hardiness. We all know that well. I know that very well from 1999," the president said, adding he would never forget the events that happened in the region in those days and months.
He said he had "asked from the very start that the guys [in the area of the special military operation] have the most accurate and unbiased information about how the country feels about their military service, their duty."
"I hope our meeting today will reach them as well and they will see it," the president said. The means of communication of the present day make that possible, albeit with certain restrictions, he said.
"Ultimately, they will certainly see this," Putin said. He said he was thankful for the well-wishes he received from a serviceman who is the son of one of the mothers at the meeting and also wished him and his fellow servicemen all the best.
