MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces shot down four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the past day during the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Thursday.
"In the past 24 hours, air defense capabilities shot down four unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the settlements of Blagoveshchenka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Novopokrovka in the Zaporozhye Region," the spokesman said.
Russian forces delivered a massive strike by precision weapons against Ukrainian military command and energy targets on November 23, Konashenkov reported.
"On November 23, Russian troops delivered a massive strike by long-range air-, sea-and ground-based precision weapons against Ukrainian military command and related energy sites," the spokesman said.
The goal of the strike was achieved and all the designated targets were hit, the general stressed.
Russia’s massive missile strike against Ukrainian military command centers and related energy infrastructure on November 23 disrupted the redeployment of the enemy’s reserves and foreign armaments, Konashenkov reported.
"The strike disrupted the redeployment of Ukrainian army reserves, foreign armaments, military hardware and ammunition by railway to combat areas," the spokesman said.
Russian troops delivered no missile strike on Kiev on November 23 and the destruction caused in the city resulted from falling missiles of foreign and Ukrainian air defense systems, Konashenkov reported.
"I want to emphasize that not a single strike was delivered within the bounds of the city of Kiev. All the destruction in the city declared by the Kiev regime resulted from falling missiles of foreign and Ukrainian air defense systems deployed in residential areas of the Ukrainian capital," the spokesman said.
Russian army aviation and assault aircraft strikes and artillery fire thwarted a Ukrainian army attack in the Kharkov Region, eliminating about 60 militants in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, preemptive artillery fire and strikes by assault and army aviation aircraft thwarted a Ukrainian army attempt to attack in the area of the settlement of Berestovoye in the Kharkov Region," the spokesman said.
Russian forces eliminated about 60 Ukrainian troops, one combat armored vehicle and two pickup trucks during the combat, the general specified.
Russian forces thwarted attempts by two Ukrainian company tactical groups to advance in the Krasny Liman area in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, active operations of Russian troops thwarted the attempts by the enemy’s two company tactical groups to attack in the areas of the settlements of Ploshchanka and Chervonopopovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the spokesman said.
During the combat, Russian forces eliminated over 15 Ukrainian troops, one infantry fighting vehicle, a mortar team and three motor vehicles, the general specified.
Russia’s preemptive artillery strike thwarted the Ukrainian army’s attempt to advance in the Zaporozhye Region, Konashenkov reported.
"In addition, a preemptive artillery strike against the amassment area of a Ukrainian company tactical group thwarted the enemy’s attempt to advance towards the community of Levadnoye in the Zaporozhye Region," the spokesman said.
In the southern Donetsk area, Russian troop units thwarted the Ukrainian army’s attempts to counter-attack in the areas of the settlements of Vladimirovka, Pavlovka and Vremevka, the general said.
"In all, the enemy lost over 50 Ukrainian troops killed and wounded, one tank, six combat armored vehicles and three motor vehicles in that area," Konashenkov reported.
Russian combat aircraft, missile and artillery troops crippled two Ukrainian army brigades’ command posts in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile troops and artillery wiped out the command posts of the Ukrainian army’s 3rd armored brigade in the area of the settlement of Schevchenkovo in the Kharkov Region and 57th mountain assault brigade near the community of Kazatskoye in the Kherson Region, and also 63 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 152 areas," the spokesman said.
Russian troops obliterated a US-made counter-battery radar of the Ukrainian army in the Kherson Region in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the area of the settlement of Novogrigorovka in the Kherson Region, an AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar of US manufacture was wiped out," the spokesman said.
Russian troops obliterated two US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radars of the Ukrainian army in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"Two AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radars of US manufacture were obliterated in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinovka and Seversk in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the spokesman said.
Russian troops destroyed a Grad multiple launch rocket system of the Ukrainian army in the Kharkov Region in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In counter-battery fire, a Grad multiple rocket launcher of the Ukrainian army was obliterated at a firing position in the area of the settlement of Liptsy in the Kharkov Region," the spokesman said.
Russian troops have destroyed over 2,500 Ukrainian drones and 390 surface-to-air missile systems since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
"In all, the following targets have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation: 333 warplanes, 177 helicopters, 2,558 unmanned aerial vehicles, 390 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,791 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 902 multiple rocket launchers, 3,616 field artillery guns and mortars and 7,340 special military motor vehicles," the spokesman said.
