Havana appreciates Moscow’s role in transitioning to multipolar world — Cuban president

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Havana appreciates the efforts made by Moscow to make sure the world transitions to multipolarity, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin on Tuesday.

"We appreciate all the work that the Russian Federation is doing to ensure that the world moves toward multipolarity and makes progress in that direction. In this sense, you have serious leadership," the Cuban president said.

He said that even in difficult circumstances, the two countries had managed to maintain political dialogue at the highest level.

"It reflects the remarkable relationship that binds us together. We had more than seven telephone conversations in the midst of the pandemic, and now we have been able to meet in person and, I think, we will be able to increase the exchange of views on global issues and issues of a bilateral nature," the Cuban leader said.
