MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces destroyed six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and intercepted three HIMARS rockets in the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Monday.
"In the past 24 hours, air defense capabilities destroyed six unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the settlements of Krasnorechenskoye, Peschanoye and Zolotoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Valeryanovka and Yevgenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Burchak in the Zaporozhye Region," the spokesman said.
"In addition, they intercepted three rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system in the area of the settlement of Melovatka in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the general said.
Russian forces inflicted damage on the Ukrainian military by firepower in the enemy’s attempt to advance towards Kuzemovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic in the Kupyansk direction, eliminating over 120 militants, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, two Ukrainian company tactical groups made unsuccessful attempts to attack Russian troop units in the area of the settlement of Kuzemovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. The enemy’s units were halted and pushed back to the initial frontier as a result of damage inflicted by firepower," the spokesman said.
Russian forces destroyed the enemy’s manpower and military hardware during the combat engagement, the general said.
"Over 120 Ukrainian troops, six tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles, three armored personnel carriers and five motor vehicles were eliminated," Konashenkov reported.
The Ukrainian military suffered about 90 casualties in failed attempts to attack Russian troop positions in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, an attack by two Ukrainian motorized infantry companies reinforced by foreign mercenaries to advance towards the settlement of Chervonopopovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic was repelled as a result of active operations of Russian troop units," the spokesman said.
In that direction, the Ukrainian military lost about 90 soldiers and militants killed and wounded, five combat armored vehicles and six pickup trucks, the general specified.
Russian forces repelled a Ukrainian army attack in the southern Donetsk area, eliminating over 80 militants in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the southern Donetsk area, an attempt by a Ukrainian motorized infantry company to advance towards the settlement of Novoselka in the Donetsk People’s Republic was thwarted as a result of active operations by Russian troops and artillery fire," the spokesman said.
During the combat engagement, Russian troops eliminated over 80 Ukrainian militants, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, two armored personnel carriers and three motor vehicles, the general specified.
Russian combat aircraft and artillery obliterated three Ukrainian army command posts in the Kharkov and Kherson Regions and the Lugansk People’s Republic in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the past 24 hours, operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops destroyed three Ukrainian army command posts in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk in the Kharkov Region, Stelmakhovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Chernobayevka in the Kherson Region and also 54 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 174 areas," the spokesman reported.
Russian forces destroyed two US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radars in the Kharkov Region and the Donetsk People’s Republic in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the areas of the communities of Zelyony Gai in the Kharkov Region and Aleksandro-Kalinovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic, two AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar stations of US manufacture were destroyed," the spokesman said.
In addition, Russian forces destroyed a radar of a Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system in the area of the settlement of Volnyansk in the Zaporozhye Region, the general said.
Russian forces wiped out two Ukrainian HIMARS and Olkha rocket batteries in the Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions in counter-battery fire in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the counter-battery warfare, Russian artillery destroyed two batteries of HIMARS and Olkha multiple launch rocket systems in the areas of the settlements of Kirpotino in the Zaporozhye Region and Borozenskoye in the Kherson Region," the spokesman said.
Russian troops obliterated a Ukrainian arms depot in the Kherson Region and a fuel depot near Kharkov in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the area of the settlement of Lvovo in the Kherson Region, a depot of Ukrainian armaments and military hardware was destroyed. In the area of the city of Kharkov, a depot of fuel for the Ukrainian military hardware was obliterated," the spokesman said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 333 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 176 helicopters, 2,504 unmanned aerial vehicles, 388 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,593 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 891 multiple rocket launchers, 3,577 field artillery guns and mortars and 7,216 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
