No need in external help in organization of humanitarian corridors in Ukraine - Lavrov

According to Russian Foreign Minister, Russia hails UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres’ interest in this topic

MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. Russia needs assistance from no one in organizing humanitarian corridors in Ukraine, it does it every day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Laavrov said in an interview with Al-Arabiya TV on Friday.

"There is no need in anyone’s assistance in opening humanitarian corridors. There is only one problem: humanitarian corridors, which are opened daily, are ignored by Ukrainian ultra-nationalists who are holed up in the steel works in Mariupol," he said.

According to Lavrov, Russia hails UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres’ interest in this topic. "We agreed that his people (his representatives have been staying in Russia for a couple of months already) together with the defense ministry will coordinate deliveries of humanitarian convoys," he added.
