CARACAS, June 30. /TASS/. Venezuela’s death toll from the June 24 earthquake has exceeded 1,900, Reuters reported, citing parliament speaker Jorge Rodriguez.
According to him, 1,943 people have been confirmed dead, while 10,571 others have been injured.
The earthquake struck Venezuela late on June 24, with two tremors measuring magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 recorded within 40 seconds of each other. The epicenters were located ten kilometers apart in the state of Yaracuy.
