MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. The situation on the domestic fuel market is now much better than one month before, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week forum.
"The situation is improving. Yesterday we had the ordinary staff meeting together with the regions, the Energy Ministry, and the federal executive authorities. Certain our refiners returned to work after turnarounds and the situation is today much better than one month ago, a fortnight ago," Novak said.
This is related in particular to strengthened protection of facilities, the official noted. "Let’s hope the situation will continue improving. Certainly, much depends on further development of the situation with attacks against the energy infrastructure, although our refineries defend themselves - we are strengthening this defense. This is one of the venues for improvement of the situation in this sense," he added.
