Datacenter capacity development to provide over 10% of gas demand growth by 2050

According to forecasts, global gas consumption will continue growing and gain more than a third by 2050

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Evolution of datacenters capacity can secure up to 10% of the expected incremental demand growth for natural gas by 2050, Gazprom said.

According to forecasts, global gas consumption will continue growing and gain more than a third by 2050 to more than 5.7 trillion cubic meters.

"In particular, development of datacenters capacity alone can provide for more than 10% of expected incremental demand growth for gas," the Russian gas major said.
