KAZAN, May 20. /TASS/. As many as 130 agreements, including 75 international ones, worth over 1 billion rubles ($12.4 mln), were signed at the international economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced.
"Every year, KazanForum is gaining momentum more and more. This year, the agenda comprised more than 200 events, including 148 business sessions with the participation of 990 speakers. The forum was a record-breaking one in terms of its effectiveness: 130 agreements and memorandums were signed at its site, including 75 international ones, worth over 1 billion rubles," he said as quoted by the press service of the Russian government.
In 2025, representatives of 96 countries and 82 Russian regions took part in the forum events. The key topics on the agenda were digitalization of relations between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), international cooperation, a real estate exhibition and conference, sports, the halal industry, Islamic finance and investment, tourism, culture, a female perspective, business, economics, personnel today and tomorrow, science and technology, and media activities.
In particular, a meeting of the strategic vision group "Russia-Islamic World" was held as part of KazanForum. It was devoted to youth policy and cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. The meeting was chaired by the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, chairman of the strategic vision group "Russia - Islamic World" Rustam Minnikhanov.
The international exhibition Russia Halal Expo featured 54 stands from 12 countries.
Also, the International Property Market real estate exhibition was organized - a unique platform designed to strengthen international ties and interaction with investors from different countries.
A total of 22,500 people attended the forum events, head of the Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina said at a briefing in the government of the republic.
As she noted, during the forum, Russia and Iran signed agreements on cooperation on geodesy and cartography.
An agreement on financing joint projects in the field of technology and agriculture was concluded by the Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund and a private fund established by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The 16th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" was held from May 13 to 18 in Kazan. TASS was the general information partner of the event.
