Russia's Rutube video platform nears seven mln daily users

Gazprom Media Director General Alexander Zharov noted that the platform’s reviews were becoming increasingly positive

MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Russia’s Rutube video sharing platform is getting nearly seven mln daily users, Gazprom Media Director General Alexander Zharov said.

"Rutube is approaching the seven million-mark in terms of its daily audience. The monthly audience stands at about 45 million users. It’s really a nation-wide platform," he pointed out, delivering a lecture as part of the Znanie (or Knowledge) Society’s educational program at the International Russia EXPO.

Zharov also noted that the platform’s reviews were becoming increasingly positive.

The video platform’s daily audience is expected to reach ten mln by the end of 2024. "Accordingly, the monthly audience will surpass 50 million. "Things are running their course; there’s no need to rush them," he added.

The International Russia Expo is taking place at Moscow’s VDNKh exhibition center from November 4, 2023, to April 12, 2024. Its goal is to demonstrate major national achievements in various sectors of the economy, with all 89 Russian regions mounting exhibits. TASS is the general information agency of the event.
