Russian sovereign debt down 25% in 9M 2022 — PM

It is stressed that the financial system of Russia remains stable, contrary to sanctions

MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Russian international debt liabilities contracted by more than 25% in January - September 2022, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Tuesday at the Cabinet meeting.

"I would like to note separately that the state external debt amount was reduced by more than a quarter in the reporting period, which lowers dependence on the foreign capital and supports the balanced nature of the budget system," Mishustin said.

The financial system of Russia remains stable, contrary to sanctions, the Prime Minister added.
