IMF revises forecast for Russian GDP contraction to 3.4% in 2022

It is noted that IMF upgraded its forecast for Russia’s GDP contraction by 2.6 percentage points for this year

MOSCOW, October 11. /TASS/. The International Monetary Foundation (IMF) expects that the Russian GDP will drop by 3.4% in 2022, according to the report released by the Foundation.

The Russia’s GDP is expected to decline by 2.3% in 2023, IMF said.

IMF upgraded its forecast for Russia’s GDP contraction by 2.6 percentage points for this year and by 1.2 percentage points in 2023, compared to July estimates.
