Audi to recall 1,260 cars in Russia

The reason is the deviation in the vehicle manufacturing process

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Volkswagen Group Rus, the official representative of Audi in Russia, will recall 1,260 A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, e-tron, Q7, Q8, RS, RS6, SQ7, and SQ8 model cars in Russia, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) reports on Tuesday.

The recall will cover automobiles sold from 2021 to 2022. The reason to recall motor vehicles is the deviation in the vehicle manufacturing process, whereby the transport mode may not be turned off in full and the LED in the ceiling module turns on red. "Vehicles subjected to the service action will have the software updated for the data bus diagnostic interface. Then it will be checked whether the emergency LED in the ceiling mode turns green," the regulator said.

Repair activities will be free of charge.
