MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. The West fails to globally bound Russia as the country was ready for sanctions, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev believes.
"Of course, there are real difficulties, which Russia has to cope with, as we are still being isolated from global value-added chains, the international division of labor, facing growing unemployment and being sent into an economic turmoil," he wrote on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
"Nevertheless, the efforts to bound Russia fail as we were ready for such predictable attacks," Medvedev stressed.
The current state of affairs is "annoying for ‘friends’ in Europe and across the pond, particularly amid the talks in Istanbul (Russia-Ukraine talks held on Tuesday - TASS), as well as Russia’s decision on the issue of payments for gas in rubles for unfriendly countries," he said, adding that the collapse is only in the heads of those "who wanted so much to see it all in the chronicle of the day."
"While our opponents continue their fruitless work, the world is gradually moving towards a new logic of global economic relations, and to a revised financial system," Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council wrote.
