NOVO-OGARYOVO, October 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu on Friday called for upgrading the operation of military enlistment offices with due regard for the experience of partial mobilization.

He noted that certain problems and difficulties had arisen at the first stage.

"This was probably inevitable. I mean that such campaigns have not been held in our country for a long time. But nevertheless, we need to draw the necessary conclusions. We need to modernize the entire system of military registration and enlistment offices," the president said.

Putin added that this work was directly related to interaction with regional authorities.

"It must be arranged at the modern level," he stressed. "I do know that the Defense Ministry has been taking these steps together with the Russian government. The action that has been taken eventually made it possible to overcome all these difficulties and achieve the parameters that were necessary to complete this work," Putin said. "I would like to thank everyone who took part in this great effort.".
