Russian forces destroy 566 drones, 2,526 tanks in Ukraine operation — top brass

MOSCOW, April 25. /TASS/. Russian troops have destroyed 566 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 2,526 tanks and other armored vehicles and 283 multiple launch rocket systems since the start of their special military operation in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.

"Overall, the following targets have been eliminated since the start of the special military operation: 141 aircraft, 110 helicopters, 566 unmanned aerial vehicles, 265 surface-to-air missile systems, 2,526 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 283 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,096 field artillery guns and mortars and 2,362 special military motor vehicles," the spokesman said.

Russian combat aircraft wiped out 56 Ukrainian military sites and eliminated up to 160 personnel, Konashenkov said.

"Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces struck 56 Ukrainian military facilities. These targets included two command posts, 53 areas of the amassment of enemy manpower and military hardware and also a fuel storage facility near the community of Novaya Dmitrovka. They eliminated up to 160 personnel and also 23 pieces of armor, artillery guns and vehicles," the spokesman said.

Russian air-launched precision missiles struck six Ukrainian military targets overnight, Konashenkov said.

"Throughout the night, air-launched precision missiles struck six Ukrainian military facilities, including three strongholds and areas of the amassment of manpower and military hardware, and also three ammunition depots near Barvenkovo and Novaya Dmitrovka in the Kharkov Region," the spokesman said.

Russian long-range precision weapons eliminated the Ukrainian army’s oil refining facilities and fuel depots on the outskirts of Kremenchug, Konashenkov said.

"Long-range precision weapons delivered a strike on the northern outskirts of the city of Kremenchug to eliminate fuel production facilities of the oil refinery and fuel depots intended for supplies of the Ukrainian army," the spokesman said.

Russian air defense systems shot down 13 Ukrainian drones in the Kharkov and Kherson regions and a Tochka-U missile over Chernobayevka, Konashenkov said.

"Russian air defense systems shot down 13 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near the communities of Mezhurino, Balakleya, Borodoyarkoye and Nevskoye in the Kharkov Region and also Vysokoye and Chernobayevka in the Kherson Region," the spokesman said.

A Russian Pantsyr-S surface-to-air missile/gun system shot down a Ukrainian Tochka-U missile and 18 multiple rocket launcher shells over Chernobayevka, the general said.

The Russian missile troops delivered 19 strikes on Ukrainian military facilities overnight, Konashenkov said.

"Throughout the night, the missile troops delivered 19 strikes, destroying nationalists’ four command posts, including the command centers of the 81st separate air assault brigade and the 110th territorial defense brigade and three ammunition depots," the spokesman said.

The Russian forces struck 21 areas of the amassment of enemy manpower and military hardware, eliminating over 240 Ukrainian army personnel and also 28 pieces of armor, artillery guns and vehicles, the general said.

The Russian artillery troops accomplished 967 fire tasks in the past 24 hours, eliminating 33 command posts, 929 strongholds and areas of amassed manpower and military hardware and also five missile/artillery arms and ammunition depots," the spokesman said.
