MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has accused Western partners of deliberately delaying deliveries of interceptor missiles for the country’s air defense systems in recent weeks.
Specifically, in a post on his Telegram channel, he described the delays in supplying interceptor missiles for the Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems as "artificial and prolonged."
Kiev had repeatedly complained about a shortage of interceptor missiles for its air defense. On October 15, CNN, citing sources, reported that Ukraine’s stockpile of Patriot missiles had been completely depleted. Later, Vladimir Zelensky voiced complaints about delays in the delivery of American interceptor missiles purchased with funding from European Union countries under the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) mechanism. He accused Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth of holding up the delivery of missiles for the Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems by a month.
