MOSCOW, August 8. /TASS/. A Spanish IT specialist and lecturer, Enrique Arias Gil, who is wanted by Europol and has received political asylum in Russia, participated in the search for personal data of 400 employees of Ukrainian and Spanish intelligence services linked to NATO, the CIA (US Central Intelligence Agency) and the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine).
"This took me three months of work," Arias said in an interview with TASS. "So let them be very careful."
According to him, among these 400 people were officers holding the ranks of brigadier general, colonel and lieutenant colonel. "In fact, one of the most, so to speak, symbolic figures among them is a lieutenant colonel of CIFAS [Centro de Inteligencia de las Fuerzas Armadas, the Intelligence Center of the Spanish Armed Forces - TASS]. This is Spanish military intelligence, linked to NATO and Ukraine, and in particular to the conduct of cognitive warfare," the agency's interlocutor emphasized.
In addition, Arias added, he managed to obtain photographs and personal information of more than 1,000 Spanish police officers.
About the data leak
Information that a group of pro-Russian hackers had revealed the identities of more than 400 employees of Spanish and Ukrainian intelligence linked to NATO was published in Russian media in early August. According to their data, the groups PalachPro, APTDesi and NoName057 hacked the databases of law enforcement agencies and security forces of Spain and NATO countries.
Among those exposed were agents cooperating with the SBU, the CIA and MI6, as well as Spanish military personnel. The obtained information, according to the media, was passed to Russian intelligence services.
