Trump views reports on Iranian Supreme Leader’s death as credible — NBC News

The US president says he does not know who could become the successor of Ali Khamenei

NEW YORK, March 1. /TASS/. Reports that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in an airstrike are credible, US President Donald Trump told NBC News.

"We feel that this is a correct story," the US leader said, commenting on the matter.

"I don’t know, but at some point they’ll be calling me to ask who I’d like," Trump noted, when answering the question about who would be his successor. "I'm only being a little sarcastic when I say that," he added.
