Netblocks records drop in Internet connection in Iran amid protests

Iranian officials have not announced any planned restrictions

DOHA, January 8. /TASS/. The international Internet monitoring service NetBlocks has recorded a drop in Internet connection in Tehran and several other Iranian cities amid ongoing protests.

"Live network data show Tehran and other parts of Iran are now entering a digital blackout, as connectivity falls on multiple providers," the service said on his page on X social media.

Iranian officials have not announced any planned restrictions.
